Fresh Sugar Berry & Rose Tinted Lip Treatments SPF15
Fresh is my newly discovered brand, which I absolutely happen to like. I can’t believe I haven’t tried any of their products sooner. Not to mention, that I wasn’t expecting much from a lip treatment aka tinted lip balm but the moment I applied those, my lips felt nourished and moisturized, those balms smoothed out my fine liplines a bit as well. With regularly use I noticed a slightly improvement of my lip condition.
Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments contain 0.15oz/4.3g (my mini tube of Rose contains 0.8oz/2.2g) of product and retail for $22,50, made in France. They are formulated without Parabens, Synthetic Dyes, Sulfates, Petrochemicals, GMOs, Triclosan and Phthalates. Key Ingredients are sugar (prevents moisture loss), blend of nourishing oils (including meadowfoam and black currant seed oils). Grapeseed polyphenols and vitamin A, C, E provide constant protection.
The formulation feels very balmy, not waxy or slippery. Once applied (I only need one swipe) they leave a slightly glossy finish but after a while my dry lips soak all the moisture in (looking plumped and smooth). For constant hydration, I have to reapply at least every two hours. I really like the soft scent, a mix of sweet citruses. The packaging (synthetic material) feels and looks very chic for a lip balm, a twist up mechanism prevents the cap from slipping off the tube.
Fresh Sugar Berry is described as a sheer raspberry mauve in a fuchsia case (their newest colour). For a tinted lip treatment it is very pigmented actually. For my swatch below, I only used two swipes. The tint it leaves is indeed a harmonious dance of raspberry with a slightly mauvey undertone. Whenever I look dull or tired, I just use Berry and look alive again.
Fresh Sugar Rose is described as a sheer berry rose in a pink case. I find it to be a bit different from Berry. It is not as buttery as Berry and it has such a light tint, that it is almost not noticeable. That is no disadvantage though, it still provides enough moisture. I used about six to seven swipes for my swatch.
If you are looking for a nourishing and balmy lip treatment, I highly recommend those. As I mentioned above, I am new to this brand but already have some faves: their lip treatments, Umbrian Clay Foundation, Rose Primer and Soy Face Cleanser. Some of the products have to be tested out for some time but I haven’t noticed anything negative yet, so stay tuned for my reviews soon.

I absolutely love fresh! The balms are incredible! I have the rose and the original. The exfoliater is also amazing, same scent. Yum!
They are! Finally a balm that doesn’t smell like vanilla, lol. I especially love Berry
These are my beloved winter go-to’s! Berry has just jumped into my top spot but Rose is quite pigmented on me too (a rosy red). I think you might like Honey and Passion too, not to mention Plum — they are as pigmented as Berry
Rose is very sheer but gives a hint of colour to my lips, nothing negative to me though. I am lemming all the reds and berries in this collection, so amazing!
oooh, i am excited to read more of your reviews on this brand. my friend swears by their facial scrub.
maybe i should get the mini set of these lippies. the rose color looks so pretty!
Sadly their facial scrub was too harsh for my dry skin but it hasn’t left my skin dry though, I just need a more gentle one, Dermalogica was and is my fav out of those I’ve tried. The soy cleanser is really fabulous, it cleanses really well without leaving my skin dry. The smell could be a no-no for a lot of people though. The mini sets are so tempting! *sigh*
Lovely pictures, Claire! I am a huge fan of these tinted lip treatments too–the only ones I haven’t tried are Passion and Berry. I was scared that Berry would be too pigmented for me, but I am quite curious now. Your swatches are pretty!
Also, can’t wait to hear what you think of the Umbrian Clay foundation!
Thank you Becca
Surprisingly, the Umbrian Clay foundation works really well for my dry skin, I have to use a moisturizing ‘primer’ underneath though (loving my RMS Beauty balm now), otherwise it will accentuate my dry patches. However, it is not drying, if that makes sense. Stay tuned for my review and swatches
Whoa that Berry one is amazingly pigmented! I have the original and Rose. Even though Rose doesn’t really show up on my lips, I love the formula
Rose isn’t showing up on me as well, I still like it though. Berry is amazing for a lip balm! So deep and great for this season, love them
Lovely review Claire!
I love lipbalm that gives me slight shine like this. I think both looks very nice. Sugar rose is a pretty soft pink color while the berry provides amazing pigmentation
That’s what I like about those Fresh balms as well, it is not to glossy not matte, just right
I am amazed by how pigmented Berry is. I am definetly getting more of those.
I love these Fresh lip balms. Such an easy go-to product for me
I agree, they smell nice, look nice and feel so luxurious for a lip balm
This is my favourite lip gloss! Best ever! Awesome post!
Thank you Melissa&Megan for stopping by and commenting
Fresh definetly has one of my favourite lip balms for winter.
I have heard f Fresh for the first time recently when i was at Sephora and got a sample of two minis as a bday gift. The formulation is exactly how i like it. I think i would purchase the full size balms if i get the chance too.
Hi luchessa, thank you for stopping by and commenting. I like the full size balms a lot better. The packaging feels nice as well. They have some great products in their line.
Are you saying the formulation is different from the minis? Or do you just like the packaging better?
I had no chance to try to full size so far…
Not at all, the formulation is the same. The lip balm in the small packaging is a bit loose. I don’t know if this is the case with very small Fresh Balm though. I also find, the bigger packaging looks a bit more chic, it’s just my personal preference
oh i see, well it can be, as i dont have anything to compare in this case.
So far i liked the feel of it on my lips and thats the most important thing for now
