Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture #9 Fuchsia Intemporel
Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture Fuchsia Intemporel is a wearable fuchsia shade without any shimmer. I was a bit skeptical, since there are so many nail polishes nowadays, some very good drugstore ones (my favourite KIKO so far), mid-end and high-end (my favourite Chanel and Dior). A lot of dupes can be found. What matters to me: brush size/shape, formulation and colour. What makes those YSL nail polishes special? The formulation – I only need one coat to cover my whole nail, if you want a deeper colour, just apply a second one (see swatches).
The brush makes the application process very easy, even and without any streaks (I have quite big nail beds, therefore the right brush can work wonders). The finish is more satin than glossy to my eye (I used Seche Vite Top Coat below). The staying power without any top coat is about two days, with Seche Vite about four (of course, it depends on what you are doing). I really like the packaging, it looks very modern and chic, yet has a classic touch to it.
Fuchsia Intemporel was my first colour I got along with Bleu Majorelle (which is the most beautiful blue) and both colours haven’t disappointed me when it comes to formulation and longevity. Dior and YSL are my favourite nail polish brushes so far.

I also have the glossy stain in #24 Fuchsia Intemporel but since I haven’t reviewed neither the YSL nail polishes nor the glossy satins yet, I wanted to review those two products separately. As you can see from the swatches (taken under different lighting), if you want a deeper shade, you need two coats, I was fine with just one that day.
If you are looking for high quality nail polishes, that apply like a dream, even, with a wide brush, Yves Saint Laurent La Laque Couture are for you. The colour range has some very interesting reds and violets that I have to check out as well. I am still contemplating, which brand I prefer (if I had to choose just one) Dior or YSL? But YSL is very close to be my number one!

This looks lovely! My kind of pink
This shade is great for fall/winter and summer. I really like the quality!
This is a gorgeous shade, love it! I’ve always wanted to try a YSL polish
You have to Taylor, they also have some very interesting shades (reds, blues, etc), I also like the YSL design a lot.
Gorgeous color on you! You have such perfect nails, Claire!!
Thank you Becca
I really like the colour a lot, first I thought it may be boring but once applied it adds something special to my whole look (especially when wearing a black dress).
That is a very pretty berry-mauvey-purpley shade. Unfortunately, my skincare/makeup trolling ways stop at expensive nail polishes…wondering if there is an essie dupe out there.
I was like that as well but due to my big nail beds I ‘need’ a nail polish that applied even and stays on for long. Dior and YSL are exactly what I need. Essie and Opi nail polishes are good as well though. There is one shade that is very simialr to Fuchsia Intemporel, I will let you know once I figured out how it is called.
I love YSL Nail polishes especially because of the brush. I have one in Rouge Dada and it applies like a dream
I am really excited to try more shades! I think YSL does a great job and I like this brand more and more every year
