2013 Resolutions | Upcoming Posts | Wishlist
Those are my blog resolutions for 2013. I also hope to post a bit more regularly. In 2012 I mainly wrote about makeup but this will change in 2013 for sure. Since I wanted to write/talk about beauty, fashion and lifestyle. I also hope to post some makeup looks, I am not that good at photographing myself though (mostly close-ups from my eye makeup, blush placement, some looks inspired by runway, icons, etc.). I also would like to share my favourite recipes with you (be it baking or cooking). Since I am a huge tea lover, I also attempt to talk my favourite tea flavours, variations. I wanted to write about fragrances (scents in general, like candles, etc.) a long time ago but I am by no mean a good scent describer, I try to do my best though (I also hope to get better with time). I really like random photography posts/stories, I will get a new cam by the end of this month and can’t wait to play with it. I wrote very few about skincare in 2012 but actually never had the time to ramble about my favourite skincare products (or just very good products in general). Before I got that interested in beauty products I was a huge fashion lover all along. I think this will be a tough one, because I have no idea how the pictures will turn out (if I don’t like them, I won’t post them, ha!, also, I am almost never satisfied with my pictures either, hm). You could put it simple: I will write about things that I am interested in, that I love and just want to share and talk about.

Those are only some of the brands I am going to write about in 2013. Just to say so: most of the products I got are a real hit. Stay tuned for a lot of organic brands as well.
I am really looking forward to finally try those products from Tammy Fender, especially the Antioxidant Creme (sounds delicious!). I used up a lot of body & bath products and was looking for new ones. Those above I am going to try first.
This post is also a reminder to myself, a small guideline (aka lack of inspiration). I am not a pro at photographing, nor did I take classes, I hope you will enjoy my future pictures nevertheless.

Great resolutions!! Can’t wait to see what you have to say in 2013!!
Thank you Annick
I hope to write lots of different posts in 2013.
Looking forward to it! This post is so pretty. I’ve been curious about Kjaer Weis and Aesop especially.
Thank you Taylor
KW packaging is so pretty, reviews coming soon on those brands.
i am very excited, Claire!
i gotta be careful, though. you’re such an enabler! lol
Hi Lena, the same goes to you
especially your nail polish posts.
Oooh i am very excited for your upcoming posts, Claire! I too am trying to revamp my blog for 2013. That means (finally) a new blog layout and logo as well as more diverse posts. I completely understand about photographs of yourself–I get a lot of comments from people asking me to post face swatches/FOTD’s but I just can’t seem to get the hang of taking decent pictures of myself where a.) the lighting isn’t total crap, b.) you can actually SEE what makeup I’m wearing
, and c.) I don’t look completely ridiculous. I think that there’s no getting around C though, so I’ll just worry about A and B for now
haha. I don’t know that i’m completely comfortable with posting FOTD’s of myself very often but I am definitely trying to work on face swatches of specific products
Also am really excited to hear your thoughts on Jouer and Pangea Organics–I LOVE those brands! Jouer has really become one of my absolute favorite brands and though I haven’t tried much from Pangea Organics (only their Japanese Matcha Tea with Acai & Goji Berry Facial Mask–which is one of my all-time favorite face masks!), but I definitely plan to in the coming year!
Anyway sorry for the ridiculously long post
haha take care, dear!
Hi Becca, thank you so much for your thoughtful comment
I am really curious about your new blog layout. I think it isn’t that easy to choose one actually. I won’t post full face pictures as for now, I want to have some privacy. I don’t think you will look ridiculus
but the best is, when you have someone, who will take the pictures. I would love to see some FOTD’s from you. I have so many products here to be reviewed, hope to have more time this year. I am definitely going to post more lifestyle and fashion posts this year, that was what I wanted to do last year as well. <3
I’m definitely looking forward to reading about your new adventures! Some of these brands have a special place in my heart, and I’d love to try the rest too! Great picks!
Hi Sunny, I think those brands above deserve more love for sure
I hope to take lots of pictures this year!
Claire, I’m absolutely loving the visuals in this post!! There must be a lot of hardwork put into it. I also love the direction you’re taking, and I can’t wait to stalk your blog
*loves*!!
Thank you Lily
It was a lot of work but I hope to get better with time. I really enjoyed taking those pics.
Oh I am looking forward to it!! I love reading blogs about baking and fragrance too
xx Happy new year!
Hi Meryl
As much as I love beauty products, I am a perfume addict as well … and fashion, and I like to bake
First, I am noticing that my wordpress reader is no longer consistently telling me when someone has a new post, which is annoying. Secondly, I can not wait for the new direction, posts, products, looks. I, too, have struggled with self photography and completely abandoned it for now – that’s a two person job. Plus, there is the whole mostly anonymous thing. I cannot wait for your posts on vapour organic and institut esterderm. I have a few products ive tried out for a bit but on the backburner until I finish my other stuff, but I am wondering if pricing is justified. Who knows.
I have the same problem actually (wordpress reader), it’s really annoying. I agree with you, it is better when you have someone who will take nice pictures. I won’t post full face pictures, only parts os it, lol. Vapour is one of the very few brands, that actually have a foundation light enough for me. As for organic brands, I think the price is justified (well, not all brands of course). If there is one brand that really is worth the money, it’s RMSBeauty. Love this brand and the philosophy behind this brand.
I tried a vapour foundation and I unfortunately fell between 2 shades. I would love to try their cleansing oil but it is OH SO expensive for the amount and would hate to love it because then I am paying an arm and a leg. Oh regarding the price, I was referring to institute estherderm – I picked some products and while I havent full tested…I feel like a dummy for having paid as much as I did.
That’s too bad, I hate it when I fall between two shades and I really like the foundation. Institute Esthederm is worth the money, I always think like that: you also pay for their research, therefore, I happily pay that much ‘but’ that doesn’t mean there aren’t brands out there which aren’t a rip-off or that the product will work for you. I think this brand provides a wide spectrum of products for many skintypes. The products I got work well for me. Would love to hear your thoughts actually, since we have different skintypes. It’s always nice to see how a product performs on different skintypes.
