Rouge Bunny Rouge Eclipse Eagle & Snowy Egret
Rouge Bunny Rouge has released two new eyeshadows, I knew I would like them (and kudos to the brand for making refills). My expectations are quite high, not only this brand represents the Crème de la Crème niche brands but also has the most beautiful names for their products (by now, how many bird names we have learnt, haha).
Eclipse Eagle – described as dark brown-grey plum with platinum iridescence. This colour shows up as a dark, rich brown with a grey undertone (heavy swatch), the plummy base will be visible the more you sheer it out. Even though there is some plummy base to it, it still isn’t a warm colour, that will give you the appearance of a beaten eye or make you look tired (which can happen when the plum is too dominating, especially on fair skintones with a cool undertone)). It has an iridescent finish, multi-coloured shimmer (see picture above) and a demi-satin texture. It is very pigmented, the shimmer reflects the light and is only truly visible in direct sunlight.
Snowy Egret – described as smoked palest gold iridescence. This colour has a strong whitish grey base. Once applied it almost has a golden greenish reflection (direct sunlight). This is a colour I would call unique, not only the finish is interesting but also the greyish base makes it kinda special. It has multi coloured shimmer. Sheered out it looses a bit of that interesting finish and becomes more like a smokey white grey with a golden tint.
The texture of both colours is silky smooth and the pigmentation is (like to be expected from Rouge Bunny Rouge) phenomenal. I used two swipes for my swatches applied with a sponge tip applicator. The wear time of all RBR eyeshadows is all day on me, without fading, smudging, etc.
I haven’t explored the perfumes yet but am going to soon, can’t decide which scent I should try first (any recommendations?). Overall, I am glad, that I got those two beauties, my holy grail product is their highlighter (Sea of Clouds and Sea of Tranquility). Be prepared for loads and loads more swatches from this brand. I am planing on doing some looks as well but as you may have read before, I am still (yes, still) trying to figure out how to take pictures of my makeup.
