Lipstick Week Day 1: orange-red
Tarte Fierce leans more red than orange on me, nevertheless, it fits the orange-red category perfectly. What surprised me was the texture, it looks matte and not luminous at all in the bullet but glides on very smoothly and buttery, it also has a nice slip (not slippery on the lip though, like YSL Rouge Volupté). It sets satin after a while and looses a bit of the nice sheen but won’t dry out my lips. The staying power is amazing, I believe the maximum on me was about four hours. It fades evenly (to me, very important, hate patchy lipstick residue). On my arm swatch it looks luminous and glossy (before it sets) and a wee bit more orange than on my lips. From what I can tell, Tarte Fierce looks more orange on others than on me (google tells me that, heh).
Arm swatch was taken in natural light, lip swatch in warm sunlight. My tonsils were swollen here, so I look a bit puffy, hm.
Amazing color. Like some divine fruit, and you wear it very well.

The formula surpirised me actually, I wasn’t expecting ‘such’ a great texture. It glides on like a dream. Reds make everyone look sexy 😉 xxx

I have this and I’M OBSESSED. It’s my most favorite lipstick formula I’ve ever tried… the only one with this type of pigmentation that’s actually use-able for someone with super dry lips like me. I would’ve already picked up more colors if they weren’t so terribly expensive. It looks lovely on you! 🙂
I was really surprised but the quality is very good. I also like the packaging a lot. I also have dry lips and this tarte lipstick glides on so smothly and is still pigmented. thank you Catherine 🙂

Oh hey, we have the same problem! My skin tone is ridiculously weird and often changes the hue of lipsticks. Still, gorgeous 🙂
