Guerlain Rouge Automatique Shine #760 Lou-Ling
Guerlain’s fall collections, one of my favourites, never (almost never) disappoint me. Since I am a huge fan of their Rouge Automatique lippies and I love red, berry, vampy … you get the idea, I knew I would fall in love with this shade as well.
Lou-Ling is a deep plummy ruby-red in the bullet but once applied it is a raspberry red with a hint of plum on me (it has red and golden sparkles, very sparse silver shimmer). I used three layers for my swatch (applied with lipbrush). The staying power is (like with all my other Rouge Automatique Shines) about two hours (depends on what you eat, drink, etc., of course). It leaves a soft red stain and the shimmer will still be visible (won’t move though, stays put where you apply it) and also fades evenly. Due to the shimmer (it is more shimmery than lets say Guerlain Extrait de Rose for instance), it is also a wee bit drying. The texture is smooth and not slippery. It has the signature Guerlain violet scent.
Both are very heavy swatches, if you sheer it out the colour becomes lighter as well. What an amazing colour! What I like the most, is how reflective those tiny sparkles are, they give a quite nice dimension to your lips. If you mind shimmer in general, this shade is not for you though.

“Lou-Ling” is the beautiful ancestor of “Turandot”. if this color represents her, no wonder Turandot wanted her vengence like that! 🙂
It is more than love, I am obsessed, lol! You know, I try to take a look at a lot of collections that will come out and *try* to pick my choices for the whole year. 😀 I couldn’t choose between, Liu, Lou-Ling and Turandot and those beautiful meteorites *sigh* I am still thinking if I should get them.
Amazing shade! I was a bit hesistant about the sparkles, but they are not over the top at all! Love it a lot :).
This shade is awesome, I don’t have any dupe in my collection, neither colour- or texture wise. If you don’t like shimmer, you won’t like Lou-Ling, it has even more shimmer than the regular Shine Automatique range. Sadly, I couldn’t capture the shimmers very well. You should definetly swatch it first 🙂
Lovely packaging from Guerlain as always! The cherry red is just gorgeous. I hope I will look good in reds but I always end up not feeling good in them.. Maybe I should try some bold color in the future 🙂

I adore Guerlain’s packaging. I wouldn’t call it a cherry red more raspberry with plum 🙂 I layered it very heavy, you can apply it sheer, just a hint of colour (if you don’t mind shimmer, because it has quite a lot of it). I need about ten shots, till I get a ‘normal’ looking picture, I am not very satisfied with this swatch but oh well, I try my best, it just don’t turn out ‘best’ all the time.
