Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse
NUXE Huile Prodigieuse is a multi-usage dry oil with 30% high quality plant oils (Borage, St Johnswort, Sweet Almond, Camellia, Hazelnut, Macadamia) and vitamin E. As indicated, I used it for my body and hair. The sweet lingering plant scent is really calming and relaxing, in fact, non of the scented body oils I’ve tried smelled that good on me like Nuxe (I find that scent kinda unique as well). The not overpowering aroma lasts very long for a scented oil. Since my skin is dry, a dry oil is (of course) not moisturizing enough. I use it mainly for the scent though. That Huile Prodigieuse also nourishes my skin a bit is a nice effect. My hair however, loves it even more. No matter if I use it on damp or dry hair, beside that (again) wonderful scent, it also smoothes out my hair texture yet leaving it bouncy.
If you don’t like thick oils, a dry oil is a nice alternative. It sinks in immediately, without leaving your skin oily. Huile Prodigieuse gives your body a satin finish with a soft and silky touch. This is my third bottle (I bought three 50 ml some time ago) and it lasts me for quite a while (meanwhile, they even changed the packaging a bit). It contains either 1.6 FL OZ/50 ml or 3.3 FL OZ/100 ml. I haven’t used it on my whole face, just a bit on my nose and eyebrows and basically everywhere where I get some dry patches/flaky skin. It immediately smoothes them out and it also works great as a base for my foundation.
Huile Prodigieuse is a truly multifunctional oil. It depends on your skin condition and your personal preferences, what purpose you are going to use it for. If you love scented oily, I highly recommend Nuxe, however if your skin is very dry and you are looking for an oil that will help repair your skin, a dry oil formula is never the best for that (in general). It’s partly the scent that makes this oil so special, among dry oils in general, Nuxe is my favourite formulation. I have some more products from Nuxe (all are repurchases by the way), so stay tuned for more reviews soon.

Gorgeous review Claire. I have to to try it but hear such wonderful things.
I love it mostly for the scent, never smelled something similar before. My hair loves it as well.
I have been wanting this for soooo long!! I made the mistake of buying the Leirac version instead because they tempted me with their promises of a white floral scent but sadly, I dislike the scent and STILL want the Nuxe version
I like the Lierac one, what bothers me: it only lasts for a few minutes and then I don’t smell anything. The Nuxe scent lasts really long, it also smells totally different, more herbal … can’t describe this scent properly though. I definetly prefer the Nuxe dry oil, hope you get the chance to try it out 🙂
I was told to smell this before purchasing. Haha! I still haven’t done it yet but if I like the scent, I have to try this. Sounds good for the body 🙂
It is good for the body but at leats for my dry skin, not worth to use it all over (I would finish one bottle in twi days, lol). I’ve never smelled something similar before, it may be not everyone’s scent (my friend doesn’t like this scent at all). I actually find it lingers very nice and isn’t overpowering but well, it is noticeable for a long time once you applied it, so you definetly have to like this scent 😀
oh the gift set sounds like a really good deal!
i am ready to introduce some oil products in my daily regimen. i will definitely look into this brand.
i’ve only tried their hand cream but i was really happy with it. 😉
IKR? I love gift sets, that’s the reason I though I would share 🙂 Not everyone likes the ‘Nuxe’ scent. I do and I find all their products really calming for that reason. I actually think of this dry oil more of perfume oil, because it is quite intense and lingers nice 🙂
I love my Nuxe dry oil as well! I usually use it on my legs after waxing as I find it prevents ingrown hairs! Great review! 🙂
Hi Annick 🙂 I have to try this out and see if it works for me that way as well! My skin is just so dry, that it eats up the oil so quickly. Thank you for the tip 😀
So many blogs are reviewing oil treatment these days. I am currently using Palmer’s Oil and Bio Oil. Both are priced affordably and works pretty well 🙂 I really want to try Caudalie divine oil but the price is a bit expensive 🙂
I didn’t liked the Caudalie oil that much. My skin is too dry, I would use up the whole bottle within a week, lol. I use the Nuxe oil mainly for the scent, because it last very long on my skin. I yet have to find a body oil that really a) helps my dry skin and b) lasts more than a week. Oil’s are a winter essential of mine though but I haven’t found a HG one yet.
I’ve heard good things about this product! Going on my wish list now.
It is a good oil, not moisturizing enough for my body but I adore the scent.
